Le Pianore: an ecosystem of beauty, nature and hospitality
At Le Pianore we live in dialogue with the earth. We cultivate, build and welcome according to natural rhythms, creating a balance in which everyone-people, plants and animals-can flourish. A vision in which harmony with the environment is our starting point.
History of Le Pianore
“When we first came across Le Pianore in 1990, there was no way to reach the old Poderi by car. My husband Francesco and I, in our early 30s, wrapped our shoes in plastic bags and crossed the copious Birimacola Creek on foot. It was February, we walked for quite some time through the snow-covered woods, and while I was nearing the end of my second pregnancy, my husband was helping Philip, our first-born son who was only 2 years old, make his way through the woods, trying to protect him with pieces of cardboard from the falling fresh snow .
Villa Maladina appeared to us, at the end of a small path, with dry stone walls, and at that moment I had a very strong feeling of déjà-vu: I had dreamed of that moment the night before, and it felt like I was finally home.”

Tuscan organic wine tastings: the tale of the earth
In our organically cultivated vineyards, each cluster grows in harmony with the rhythms of nature, following the phases of the moon and the breath of the earth. Our wine is born from this deep care, and is a sincere expression of the landscape that surrounds it: woods, streams, wind, sun.
During the tastings, Filippo will guide you through an authentic experience of listening, stories and sensations. A journey that goes beyond taste, to connect with the territory and the philosophy that animates
Le Pianore: to cherish the land, celebrate its fruits, and share them with those who know how to appreciate their truth.
Cooking classes: flavors of home and hands on dough
With Enrica you will learn the art of Italian cooking just as grandmothers did: simple, alive, full of love. A relaxed lesson in our country kitchen, with a tailored menu, and the pleasure of sharing the fruits of your labor at the table.
Organic garden: from the soil to the table
At Le Pianore, the cuisine follows the rhythm of the seasons and the bounty of our organic vegetable garden.
We believe in a hospitality that starts from the earth: every day we harvest what nature offers us and transform it into fresh, creative and nutritious dishes. We try to use as much as possible the produce from our garden, which in every season surprises us with colors, flavors and abundance.
Fruits and vegetables become preserves, juices, jams and syrups, such as mulberry jam or our homemade Nocino. We offer flexible dining options, from breakfast to full board.
And for those who want to learn, Enrica offers informal cooking classes to discover together the authentic taste of Tuscan tradition.
Forest Bathing: regenerate body and mind in Tuscan nature
Walking slowly through the woods, breathing deeply, listening to the living silence of Mount Amiata: Forest Bathing is an experience of sensory immersion in nature. An invitation to slow down, reconnect with the earth, listen to one’s inner rhythms, and be guided by the silent beauty that surrounds us. This is not a hike or a performance: it is a practice of presence. Every step into the woods is a return to self, every breath a caress. In a running world, walking in the green becomes a revolutionary act. A simple yet profound way to feel part of nature and not just temporary guests.
Explore Amiata and Tuscany
At 1732m above sea level , the volcanic dome of Mount Amiata dominates the landscape. Amiata's strength is its tranquility and simplicity. Home to the largest beech forest in Europe, Amiata is a hiker's paradise.
Termal Baths
Hot springs are one of Maremma's most important claims to fame. Although the last eruption of Mount Amiata was hundreds of thousands of years ago, this dormant volcano continues to nourish numerous hot springs around its base. Saturnia, Petriolo, Bagno Vignoni and Bagni San Filippo all have exclusive spas near beautiful wild pools surrounded by breathtaking nature, where the water flows freely, and there is no ticket to pay.
The Beaches
Alberese: bordering the Uccellina Nature Reserve , this gray sand beach, which stretches for more than four miles, is one of the wildest and emptiest beaches on the Italian peninsula. Talamone: has something to offer for everyone. From a long sandy beach with views of Monte Argentario, to rocky coves with crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling, under the incredibly impressive setting of the medieval fortress of Rocca Aldobrandesca . Rocchette: is a long beach of coarse sand a short distance from the popular marina and the medieval historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia.

Le Pianore is also a CCPB-certified organic farm. This means that we cultivate the land according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, guaranteed by one of the most authoritative certification bodies. From the vegetable garden to the vineyard, every product follows the natural rhythm of the earth.
